Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics or a seasoned adventurer aiming to sharpen your skills, this course will equip you with the essential survival techniques needed to navigate, sustain, and thrive in the wild.
Here’s what our action-packed day will look like:
Morning Sessions:
- Introduction and Safety Briefing (30 minutes)
- Get to know your instructors and fellow survivalists. Learn about the course logistics and safety protocols to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.
- Basic Navigation Skills (1 hour)
- Master the fundamentals of map reading and compass use. Engage in a practical exercise to navigate using landmarks and compass bearings.
- Water Procurement and Purification (1 hour)
- Discover techniques to locate water sources and learn various purification methods using boiling techniques, chemical tablets, and solar stills.
Midday Break:
- Lunch Break (30 minutes)
- Enjoy a well-deserved break. Pack your lunch and share experiences with fellow participants.
Afternoon Sessions:
- Fire Making Techniques (1 hour)
- Understand the fire triangle and practice starting and maintaining a fire safely using flint and steel.
- Shelter Building (1 hour)
- Learn to construct a basic lean-to or tarp shelter using materials from the surrounding environment.
- Foraging for Edible Plants (1 hour)
- Identify and forage for local edible plants and mushrooms with a guided walk around the training area.
- Basic First Aid and Wilderness Medicine (1 hour)
- Gain essential skills in treating common injuries and emergencies in the wilderness.
Closing Session:
- Wrap-Up and Debrief (30 minutes)
